Dual Functional Catalyst for Water Electrolysis
To make clean hydrogen energy commercially viable, Woody and his team targeted a massive industrial bottleneck: the high cost of rare, precious metal catalysts like platinum (Pt) and iridium (Ir) as well as their susceptibility to sulphur poisoning.
By utilising an alterntive oxidation reaction Urea Oxidation Reaction (UOR) and Hydrogen Evolution Reaction, alongside the usage of 3D hierarchical nanoarrays structured directly on copper foam, our research team improved the efficiency and cost of hybrid water electrolysis
The resulting framework delivers exceptional charge transport, high durability, and lower overpotentials.

"We need to explore scalability. Our water electrolysis model isn't just a lab-scale victory—it represents an actionable pathway toward commercially viable clean grid technologies."
Model UN and TEDx
Engaging with international platforms like Model United Nations (MUN) and TEDx has been central to developing my diplomatic communication, organizational strategy, and community outreach. Rather than treating these as simple extracurricular activities, I focused on creating measurable turnouts and leaving a sustainable framework for future cohorts.
