My Journey from kid to
Student Researcher
Welcome to my website!
Hi! I'm Woody, a High School Student from Hong Kong, with a simple vision: to connect the worlds of science and humanity. I'm dedicated to making a impact in the community where I grew up and beyond, from organising the first TEDx event in Hong Kong led by a non-international student body to earning top awards from the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) for my work in sustainable energy.
Currently, I study at the St Michael's School, Llanelli, where I focus on Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, and an EPQ (Extended Projects Qualification).
Outside of academics, I'm involved in several extracurricular activities. In the Computer Club, I served as Chairperson, organizing events and collaborating with the Robotics Club for cross-curricular education. I also co-hosted talks with Dr. Patrick YUE for the Career and Life Planning Team, connecting with external organizations.
This past summer, I conducted a Selective Research Internship at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) β Faculty of Science, working with Dr. Lam Hon-Ming and under the supervision of his PostDoctoral Fellow Dr. Yung Wai-Shing Vincent. I'm dedicated to learning beyond the classroom, honing my skills in full-stack web development through courses at Preface.
As Steve Jobs said, βThe people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.β I hope to make a difference.
