Perfectionism

Perfectionism?

The most clichΓ© answer to the age old interview question β€” Tell me your largest weakness. Perfectionism usually comes off as a backhanded compliment or just makes you seem like a dork.

I get the notion, yada this; yada that;. it's a tempting answer, successful people like Steve Jobs(Apple Inc.) are all famous perfectionists, where their success is attributed, his obsession with detail, however, meant that the company took more than three years to develop the original Macintosh.

While it doesn't neglect those of Maladaptive(the bad type of perfectionism), the overuse of the word does, idolising this condition does. With more and more people using this word, it means the word begins to lose it's meaning; an almost "inflation" occuring where it's meaning is lost to every passing word.
